Zara Angel Scott

On February 26, 2026, a precious angel, Zara Angel Scott, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Though her time on earth was only a brief moment, her life was already surrounded by love long before she arrived.
On that same day, Zara peacefully gained her angel wings and returned to heaven, leaving behind a family who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Zara was a beautiful and deeply cherished daughter whose presence, though brief, brought immeasurable love, hope, and meaning to those who awaited her arrival. From the very beginning, she was loved, prayed for, and joyfully anticipated by her family.

Zara was born alongside her twin sister, Zuri Blessing Scott. While Zara was called home too soon, her love will always remain a part of her sister's life and the hearts of her family.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving parents, Lyntrell Mays and Alvin Scott Sr.; her siblings, Treasure London, Tru London, Alvin Scott Jr., Nasir Scott, and Sincere Scott; her twin sister, Zuri Blessing Scott; her grandmother, Kizzie Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will forever cherish her memory.
Zara was preceded in death by her grandmother, Tina Scott; grandfather, Alvin Mathews; great-grandmothers, Hellena Mathews and Leola Mays; great-grandfather, Alfred Waters; great-uncle, Alfred Mays Jr.; and great-aunt, Barbara Ann Waters.

Although Zara's time here was brief, the love she brought into this world will last forever. She will always be remembered as a precious angel whose light will never fade. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who loved her.
Though we did not get the chance to watch her grow, we find comfort in knowing that our sweet Zara now rests peacefully in the arms of God.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at St Rock Baptist Church 2300 Rochelle St., Harvey LA. 70058. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by a 10AM service. Bishop Leonard Franklin will officiate.
