Obituary

Yolanda Williams departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her home in Harvey, LA.  She was 51 years old.  She was born on June 12, 1969, in New Orleans, LA.

Daughter of the late Laura and Clarence Williams.  Companion of 16 years to Daniel Ratcliff.  Beloved mother of Laura Batiste, and Brittany Williams.  Grandmother of Eugene Batiste.  Sister of Wanda Ann Williams and Mary Ann Gumms, Alvin, Darrly, Rolanda, Clarence and Anthony Williams.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Yolanda attended West Jefferson High School, and was a loving mother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who loved her.  She was known as “Queen Smitty”, to those who knew and loved her. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611, LA – 23, Belle Chasse, LA, 70037 at 11 a.m.  The limited visitation will begin at 9 a.m.  Minister Jordan L. Robinson Sr., officiating. 

Due to COVID – 19, EVERYONE in attendance MUST wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
