Yancy Dubose, Sr

Yancy "Yank" Dubose Sr. departed this earthly life on March 2, 2023. He was 31 years old and a native of the lower ninth ward of New Orleans. Beloved son of Vasonelle Ann Dubose and Henry Jefferson. He was the proud father of Yancy Dubose Jr., brother of Kevin John Sr. (Regine), Shaunquell Michelle, and Yawn Sr., Dubose. Grandson of Okie Lee Sr. and the late Elizabeth Eunice Dubose. Nephew of Okie Lee Jr. and Shawn Michael (Nina) Dubose. Loving uncle of James, Quinell, Jaden, Mi'yuan, Mason, Kennedy, Kevin Jr., and Yawn Jr. Dubose. Godson of Alice (Joseph) Boisley. He is also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives, and devoted friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Lighthouse Ministries and End time Harvest Ministries (California), Employees of New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood, Voodoo BBQ and Grill, the Head Grill Department of Tulane University and the pipeline department of Stupp Corporation, Staff and students of Frederick A. Douglass High School are all invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Ray Avenue Baptist Church, 4712 Ray Avenue, New Orleans, LA. The visitation will begin at 10 a.m., and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Apostle Darren L. Williams officiating, and interment will be private.
