Willie J. Fairman Jr. was born June 16, 1953, to Mr. Willie Fairman and Thomas Sinclair Fairman in Wesson, Mississippi. Our Heavenly Father called him home on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Willie Jr. was the first child born into a loving family of eight.
Willie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.
Willie lived in Harvey, Louisiana for the most of his life but lived in several other places: Junction City, KS., Pensacola, FL, Bogalusa, LA., and Monroe, LA. He received his diploma from West Jefferson High School in Harvey, LA in 1967. Then proceeded right after enlisted to United States Army. Willie achieved many accolades while servicing in the military. He has several awards: an Army Service ribbon, two overseas service ribbons, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Meritorious Service medal, Army Commendation medal, two good conduct medals, and an expert with a M16 Rifle. Years later he attended Phillips Junior College.
Willie Junior Fairman Jr departed this life at Glenwood Regional Medical Center of Monroe, LA at the age of 71. He was a native and a resident of Harvey, LA. Willie last worked as a Lead Maintenance Technician with Padua House.
Left to cherish his memory is his three children: Angeline Fairman (Wayne) of Slidell, LA; Terri and Terrance Fairman of Harvey, LA; Grandchildren: Briana and Bobby Brumfield Jr., Terrineika and Dajaneika Narcisse, Kaiya Black, Terri Jr., Tahj, Bailee, and Bella Fairman. Two great grandchildren: Brailynn Brumfield and Ares Thomas. Brother to Linda Faye (Lawrence) Washington, David Earl (Sandra) Fairman Sr., Darrell Fairman, Darlene (Ellis) Brown and a host of special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mrs. Yong Pak Fairman, son Michael Solan Fairman, His mother and father: Mr. Willie Fairman Sr. and Thomas Sinclair Fairman, two brothers; Jerry Fairman Sr., John Wayne Fairman, two sisters; Hope Marie Fairman and Delana Fairman.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church 1701 Estalote Ave., Harvey LA. 70058 The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by a 10Am service. Rev. Ricky Johnson Sr. is the host pastor. Rev. Jonas Chambliss of The Living Word Church of Atlanta GA., will officiate. Private interment will take place at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, LA. 70460.
