Willie Lowry "Chief" Epherson, age 75, passed away on September 19, 2025.
He was born on December 30, 1949, and was a lifelong resident of Marrero, La.
He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age Willie, known as "Chief " graduated from Addison High School and also studied at Alcorn State University in Lorman MS.
He enjoyed taking family vacations and talking about his time in the Army.
He was the son of the late Lester Epherson Sr. and Willie Mae Epherson.
He leaves to cherish (4) children, Vivian and Mitchell Epherson, Samuel and Dalphine Glass. He also had (3) brothers, Willie E. Epherson, Lester Epherson Jr. (Muriel), Willie Fred Epherson Sr. (Mary) all of Marrero. La,
(2) sisters, Josie West of Marrero, La and Ruthie Earls of Pattison, Ms. (19) grandchildren and (7) great grandchildren and a host of nieces.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Epherson Sr and Willie Mae Epherson, son, Ron Glass, sister, Alberta Brinston (Baby Ruth).
The staff at Davita Oakwood, the staff at Able Life, and members of the USDA (Grain Elevator) are all welcome to attend.
Relatives & friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Cross Community Church located at 3233 Ames Blvd, Marrero, La 70072. The visitation will begin at 9:30am and the service will begin at 11am.
Pastor Orin Grant officiating and interment will follow at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery on Monday October 6, 2025, at 12:30pm.
