On Friday, August 6, 2021, the Lord gained a very exceptional man-WILLIAM (BILL) ERNEST WIGSTROM SR. who was born on April 9, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA. He was married 52 years to his late wife Mary Rochelle Wigstrom. He was the son of the late Ernest Oliver Wigstrom and Evelyn Skelton Wigstrom of Silverhill AL. Eldest brother of the late Leon Wigstrom and Oliver (Buddy) Wigstrom. He is survived by siblings, Adele Wallace, Donnie Wigstrom and Connie Peterson all of Alabama. He was daddy to William (Bill) Ernest Wigstrom Jr., Edgar Oliver Wigstrom, late John Lee Wigstrom Sr., Donald Ray Wigstrom and James Patrick Wigstrom Sr. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill moved from Gulf Shores Alabama to Belle Chasse Louisiana in 1965 where he raised his family and started Wigstrom & Sons Plumbing and Heating. He was a Free Mason and Shriner known as Hobo Bill for 52 years, a veteran of the U.S. Army with an Honorable Discharge from 1953 to 1963 and served in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. He was a very hard-working man and was always kind and friendly to people. His stories were better than those of Edgar Allen Poe. Bill will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
