William Carter

William " Candyboy" Carter was born on December 26, 1951 in New Orleans, LA. He was called home to rest on December 24, 2023. He graduated from Walter L. Cohen Senior High School and entered the United States Air Force shortly thereafter. He continued his military service in the United States Army Reserve. William was a faithful member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Zwolle, Louisiana. He was the beloved son of the late Ethel Mary Carter and the bonus son of Jeff & Emily Carter. William was preceded in death by his only and endeared son, Travis Carter. Leaving to cherish his memory is his grandson, Travis Cummings; his sister, Rev. Shelia Atley; his brothers, Gregory and Tyrone Young, Sr., and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Services which will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Robinson Funeral Home, 9611 Highway 23, Belle Chasse, LA at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Clodale Carter of Mount Calvary Baptist Church of Zwolle, La will serve as the officiating minister. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery in Metairie, LA.
