William Arceneaux Obituary

William Arceneaux departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. "Will" as he was affectionately known was born on December 22, 1979, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to William Arceneaux Jr. and Dianne Wright Arceneaux.
He accepted the Lord as his Savior at a young age, baptized by the late Reverend Vernon S. Joshua of Second St. John of Avondale, Louisiana on October 3, 1996. As a young adult he placed his membership at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Keith P. Stewman. There, he was a faithful member of the youth and young adult choir as well as the male chorus until he relocated to Dallas, Texas. Will was educated in the Jefferson Parish school system. He attended West Jefferson High School and graduated in 1998. Shortly after graduating, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Upon graduation he was honorably discharged due to a medical condition of the eye. He later attended Southern University New Orleans where he studied architecture, utilizing his gifted drawing abilities. Throughout high school, Will started a boy group with a cousin/godbrother Arnold "Tay" Wright, best friend Derek Williams, godbrother Ralph "Boogly" Woodruff Jr. and Jerry Brock. They went on to perform in many talent shows, which sparked the interest of record label TWA Entertainment. Although not pursued, he continued his passion for singing.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents William of Gretna, LA and Dianne Arceneaux of Marrero, LA; One loving sister, Tequilla Arceneaux of Houston, TX; His fiancée Lisa Jackson of Lancaster, Texas; five sons William, Nyjhal, Marquise, August and Jordan Arceneaux; Two nephews, Darrell and Tyrell Walker; his grandmother Marion Wright; twelve aunties, in which one was his godmother, Melanese McPherson; Darious, Wayne and Sean Scott who affectionately knew him as "Uncle Will"; Nikeia Scott, a dear friend; four uncles and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
