Wilbert Timothy Griffin Sr., departed this life on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at University Medical Center in New Orleans LA. He was 66 years old and a native of Davant LA., and a resident of St. Bernard LA.

Son of the late August and Shirley Riley Griffin. Father of Tennillia G. Demolle, Wilbert Jr. and Kendall Griffin and Aurillia Lumar. Devoted husband of the late Lisa Williamson Griffin. Stepfather of Kevin Williamson. Brother of Shelia G. Thomas (Allen), Margaret G. Duplessis, Eric F. Griffin (Joann), and the late Anthony, Rev. August and Mervin J. Griffin. Brother-in-law of Ardtria Griffin. Nephew of Andrew Griffin and Ella Mae Riley. Mr. Griffin is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, priest and parishioners of St. Thomas and Assumption Catholic Church, all surrounding churches and Lofton Security, are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Thomas Catholic Church 17605 Hwy 15, Point-Ala-Hache LA. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by an 11AM mass. Father Sampson Abdulai will officiate, and entombment will follow in Griffin Cemetery in Phoenix LA.
