Wilbert James Alexander Sr.

Wilbert James Alexander, Sr., of  New Orleans, LA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2022, at his home. He was 88 years old. Mr. Alexander was a proud army veteran and was a member of the St. Bernard Church of God In Christ.

 Son of the late Orelia and Ernest Alexander.  Brother of the late Alice Jones and Albert Alexander. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Bernita “Bern” Mae Alexander and his beloved mother and father-in-law Lizzie and Leo Williams.
 Devoted father to Peggy (Frank) Clark, Priscilla (Jerome Sr.) Smith, Leo Alexander, Kim Alexander, Jerry (Misty) Alexander, Eric (Nedra) Alexander and Byron (Connie) Alexander and the late Wilbert J. Alexander Jr. 
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, March 11th, 2022, at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 LA – 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 from 6 – 8 p.m. Graveside service and entombment will be held on Saturday March 12th, 2022, at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery & Mausoleum located at 8200 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70003 at 10 a.m. Pastor Jerome Smith Sr., of Brand-New Life Church of Baton Rouge, LA., officiating.    

Due to COVID – 19, EVERYONE in attendance MUST wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
