Wanda Wilson Taylor

Wanda Wilson Taylor, of Waggaman, La, aged 64, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. She was a native of Marrero, La. Wanda was employed with West Jefferson Medical Center and the Community Care Hospital. For over 30 years Wanda was employed as a Certified Unit Secretary as well as Admit Clerk. Throughout her career she displayed her gifts of love, compassion and hard work to helping others.
Wanda, daughter of the late Alex Wilson, Jr. and her beloved mother, Barbara Jean Wilson. Wanda was the loving wife of William Taylor Sr. and the mother of beautiful daughter, Brittani S. Robinson and son, the late Denzel M. Robinson. MiMi's three hearts, grandchildren, Glendale M. Houston (Sky), Hasan A. Houston (Bud), Harley Q. Frazier (Glendale M. Houston, Hasan A. Houston, Harley Q. Frazier, Star).
Wanda was also the bonus mother of William Taylor, Jr., Tecarsha Taylor, Montrese Tadlock, Jovan Bolton, and Quintanta Green. She was the bonus grandmother of William H. Taylor, Megan H. Taylor, Zareion Henderson, Jermonee Tadlock, Jeremee Tadlock; she was the bonus great grandmother of Serenity Tadlock, Ryan Bolton, Jr., and Whitley Green. She was the sister of Deborah Ann Wilson and Michael Wilson, Sr. (Sherlynn); daughter-in-law of Vivian Taylor; sister-in-law of Janice Andry; the niece of Delores, Charles, and Derek Wilson, Lucille Hudson, Robert, Calvin, Mancil, Gary and Flora Duncan, Augurine Enclade, Gaynell Crum and the late Charite Young.
Relatives and friends of the family also Pastor Norman N. Francis, officers and members of St. Stephen Missionary B.C., as well as all neighboring churches, John Ehret High School class of 1979, employees of West Jefferson Medical Center and Community Care Hospital are all invited to attend the Celebration of Life Services which will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, 10 a.m. The visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m., at Wanda's church home, Little Zion Missionary B.C., 433 Avondale Garden Road, Avondale, LA. Pastor Damian J. Brown, officiating and interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
