Walter Anthony Barthelemy Jr. "Butch", peacefully transitioned on the afternoon of Saturday, December 3, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones at the age of was 81. Walter was born in Bohemia LA. and lived in Happy Jack LA. and spent his later years in Belle Chasse LA. Son of the late Walter Anthony Barthelemy Sr. and Emily Dinet Barthelemy. Beloved husband of Lucy Earline Ancar Barthelemy. Loving father of Justine Perriatt (Lester), Lauraline Williamson (Arthur), and Todd A. Barthelemy Sr. (Allison). Beloved grandfather of Jenny Fazande, Jena Perriatt, Todd A. BarthelemyJr., Leilani Perriatt, Tyler Barthelemy, (Alexis) and Caitlin Williamson. Great grandfather of Bryce Davis, Pyper Davis, Todd A. Barthelemy III, and Alaia Barthelemy. Brother of Theresa Barthelemy, Nicolas Barthelemy, Linda Barthelemy and the late Phil Barthelemy and Delta Sylve. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and devoted friends.

Walter started his career as a cook, plumber, and entrepreneur. He owned and operated Butch's Bar & Grocery and Barthelemy’s Seafood that served the Plaquemines Parish Community. He completed his career as an operator at Alliance Refinery with nearly 30 years of service. His favorite hobbies were trawling, fishing, hunting, and going to the Saints games. He also enjoyed playing card games, cooking, dancing, watching westerns on t.v. and spending quality time with his family and friends. Walter and his family have been devout members and supporters of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church of Belle Chasse for over 35 years. Walter Anthony "Butch" Barthelemy Jr. was the cornerstone of his family and an active member of his community and a loyal and trusted friend that will be missed by many.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited the attend the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December,10, 2022 at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 8968 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. 70037. The visitation will begin at 9A.M. followed by an 11A.M. mass. Father Kyle Dave will officiate, and entombment will follow in the church's cemetery.
