Vanguie Marie (Vaughn) Price

Vanguie Marie Vaughn Price was born on April 28, 1953, in New Orleans, La, at Charity Hospital to the proud parents of Robert J. Vaughn Jr, and the late Emelda F. Vaughn.  She was raised in Plaquemines Parish and later resided in New Orleans, La.  She attended Sunrise High School in Sunrise, La.  She retired from Belle Chasse State School as a Resident Training Specialists.  

Vanguie dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses in 1971.  She was known as a caring and dependable person.  She loved gardening and spending time with her family.  Vanguie had a special place in her heart for dogs and she loved her dog “Ice” dearly.  
Vanguie passed away on April 29, 2021, at the age of 68.  She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Price, her mother Emelda Vaughn, brothers Robert Vaughn III, and Leo Roy Jr.  Her nephews, Robert Vaughn IV, Byron Davis Jr, and Brandon Curtis Sr.  

Vanguie leaves to cherish her memory to her father, Robert Vaughn Jr. (Doris Vaughn).  Her siblings Paula, Vernell (Steve Miller), Virgie, Priscilla, Acquille and Thyresia (Alex), Ricky Jones Sr, Ronald (Cynthia Vaughn), Sharon Delany (Sam), Deborah Jefferson (Troy), Portia Williams (Herbert), Josulan Johnson (Ralph), and Carleen Love (Andrew).  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.  

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. CST via ZOOM ONLY.
