Tyrone Anthony Gaines

Tyrone Anthony Gaines departed this life on Friday, July 28th, 2023 at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero LA. Son of the late Gerald and Eunice Gaines.

He was 60 years old and a lifelong resident of Diamond LA.

Beloved son of the late Gerald and Eunice Gaines. Devoted father of Shawnna Dinet (Guyderick) and Tyrone Dinet (Mindy). Grandfather of Abrielle and Savannah Dinet.

Brother of Danny, Jeffery, Michael, Bruce (Erica), Jerome (Alicia), and Clifton Gaines, Carolyn Piere, Linda Williamson (Sidney), Cathy King (Russell), Barbara Gaines (Red), Becky Hill (Warren) and the late Sylvia Gaines.

Tyrone was a very close friend of James and Abbey Taylor and best friend of Clyde, Blake and Harold. Godfather of Jelessa Sylve, Sheldon Williams and Nokomis Robertson.

He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Tyrone worked for Air Bags Disposal, LLC for many years, which he enjoyed and made lifelong friends.

He enjoyed fishing, kayaking with his nephew K.P., grass cutting, taking long rides and spending as much time with his children and grandchildren as possible. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 Hwy 23, Port Sulphur LA. 70083. The visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m., and mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Father Gerald Stapleton officiating and entombment will follow at Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond LA.
