Theodore Thomas Obituary
Theodore Thomas Jr. was born on July 28, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born to the union of Theodore Thomas Sr. and Laura Sterling Thomas. Theodore graduated from Booker T. Washington Senior High School. He enjoyed many things, such as sewing Indian suits, attending Second Line Sundays, watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, or relaxing and spending time with family and friends. He also faithfully attended St. Jude Catholic Church on Sundays.
Theodore demonstrated a strong commitment to community well-being, consistently offering his assistance and time to support neighbors and friends with various tasks and errands.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Thomas Sr. and Laura Sterling Thomas Hart; his son, Carroll "Mike" Conley(Blanche); his sister, Elver Marie Burke; his brother, Theard Simms (Dianne); and his nephews, Roderick David Burke(Veronica)and Harold Clay Jr(Tasha).
Theodore leaves to cherish his memory his loving spouse, Carol; daughters, Robin C. Thomas (George) and Lisa Thomas; sons, Tyrone Scott (Jaime), Theodore Scott (Schfreda), and Terrence Scott (Amber); grandchildren, Tyshawn, Sydney, Ayairii, Treajon, Ronald, Chatni, Kristal, Makayla, Cortney, and Brittany; sisters, Deon T. Harrison and Olivia T. Clay; brother-in-law, Kenneth Wharton. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
All are welcome to attend the funeral service which will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located at 411 N. Rampart Street New Orleans, La 70112 on Saturday, July 26, 2025. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and mass will begin at 10 a.m. Father Scott is the host and Father Emmanuel will officiate. Interment will be private.
