Shone Troy Mayfield

Shone Troy "Pop" Mayfield passed away peacefully at his home in Marrero on Monday, July 22, 2024 at the age of 38. Shone was born in New Orleans on September 21, 1985 and was blessed to have two sets of loving parents; Dora Ann Wallace and the late Tyrone Manuel and Pernella Joyce LaFrance and the late Ronald Lafrance. Shone was proceeded in death by both of his fathers, his grandparents; Paulette Mayfield, Paul and Brenda Higgins, Janiece Manuel, Anna Mae and Feliciana Lafrance Sr.; great grandparents Burtina and Charles Mayfield, and Odile Williams; great great grandmothers Helen Green and Lydia Garrison; his brother Ronnie Wallace; uncles Lawrence, Charles Jr., Delton, Glenn and Perry Mayfield, Timothy Williams, Felician Jr. and Dwayne LaFrance; nephew Christian Wallace; aunts Ida Taplette, Jeanette Williams, Ada Bell, Thais, Lydia and Valerie Mayfield. Shone is survived by his mothers Dora Ann Wallace and Pernella Joyce LaFrance; siblings Matthew (Elkie), Quijuan and Trevor (Terryon) Wallace, Demone and Tramal Mayfield, Cindy (Walter) Butler, and Tifanie (Gregory Jr.) Wright; aunts and uncles Marion Black, Elaine Mayfield, Nicole Briscoe, Ann, Bryancha, Tynicqua, and PaullJannet Higgins, Jackie Johnson, Sandra (Russell), Rochelle LaFrance, Annette, Regina, Bridgette Manuel, Larry (Millie), Kenneth (Cora), Everette, Terry, Chris and Derrick LaFrance, Victor and James Manuel, along with a healthy number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Shone attended Belle Chasse High School and was passionately known as 'minnie cat'. He loved riding motorbikes and wearing camouflage.

Relatives and friends of the family, pastor, officers and members of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches, Belle Chasse Joint Reserve Base and the entire community of Oakvillle are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. 70037. The visitation will begin at 9:30AM followed by an 11AM service. Rev. Jordan L. Robinson Sr. will officiate and entombment will follow in Bayhi Cemetery.
