Shirley Ivory (Mama Shirley) Riley entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Saint Joseph Carpenter Hospice House, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was 94 years old and was born in Daisy, LA, on March 7, 1930. She was a lifelong resident of Port Sulphur LA, until relocating to Harvey LA, following Hurricane Katrina. She was a faithful member of Greater Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Oakville, LA pastored by Rev. Dr. Darnell Smith Sr. Daughter of the late Ivory B. and Evelina Garrison Riley. Beloved mother of Brenda Guillory (Bobby) and Bernell Boudreaux (Tonya). Devoted sister of Evelyn A. Riley and the late Leona R. Johnson, Irene Riley, Esther R. Williams, Elva R. Mackey, Ellied P. Riley Sr., Irvin B. Riley and Isiah P. Riley. Cherished grandmother of Adrienne D. Jones, Sunni J. LeBeouf (Darrick) and Ludwig Freeman. Great grandmother of Ashley L. Gracin, Darrick Jr., and Grant LeBeouf. Great great grandmother of Zen Gracin-Hanley and Jace Gracin. One living Aunt Ella Riley. Devoted friend of Ruby Ragas, Elouise Bartholomew and Lucretia Hunter. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Greater Saint Peter Missionary Baptist Church, located at 182 West St. Peters, Oakville LA, 70037 at 10 A.M., The public visitation will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 10 A.M. Only. Rev. Dr. Darnell Smith Sr. will officiate, and the entombment will follow Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna LA, 70056. The family will also receive guest for visitation on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Robinson Family Funeral Home, 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
