Shannon Ann Jordan Mahogany

SHANNON ANN JORDAN MAHOGANY, departed this life peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at her home in Lafayette LA.  She was 62 years old and a native of New Orleans La.  Shannon was a retired sales reservation manger for the Chateau Le Moyne Hotel in the French Quarter and the Landmark Best Western Hotel on Rampart St. in New Orleans with 40 dedicated years of service.  She was a faithful member of the St. Peter Baptist Church of Lafayette LA. under the leadership of Pastor Carl J. Sonnier.

Daughter of the late Clarence Jordan Sr. and the late Gloria Crayton. Stepdaughter of Ernest T. Crayton. Wife of the late Pete Mahogany.  Devoted mother of Jonathan Darryl Jordan (Monica).  Grandmother of Mariah Smith. Sister of Francine Dixon, Troylyn Jefferson, Clarence Jordan Jr. (Almeda), Quentrell Jordan (Savonda), Tracy Jordan, Reginald Crayton (DeLisa) and the late Darryl Joseph Jordan. Godmother of Jervice Wolfe (Ciciley) and Aaliyah Troylyn.  Devoted friend of Dr. Jacqueline Clark, Tracy Robinson and Dorothy “Dot” Mitchell.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.  She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Alfred James Jefferson Sr.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Gentilly Baptist Church located at 5141 Franklin Ave. New Orleans LA. 70122.  The visitation will begin at 2P.M. followed by a 3P.M. service.  Pastor Ken Taylor (host pastor), Pastor Carl Sonnier (officiant).

Due to COVID-19, everyone in attendance must wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
