Scott Joseph Marcel

Scott Joseph Marcel, of Marrero, La, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at his home in Marrero, LA. He was 53 years old. Scott was born in New Orleans on February 4, 1970, to Lorraine Marcel and the late Johnnie Delatte Sr. Scott was a character, never at a loss for words, always had a joke or funny story to share, and was the life of the party. He was a highly skilled painter and contractor his whole life. He worked for Guidry Roofing for the past few years. He loved the New Orleans Saints, LSU, throwing darts, and spending time with his family. He was a proud father of Codie Marcel (Brittany), and Dylen Marcel (Elizabeth). He cherished his Grandchildren, Aubrey and Jameson Marcel. He was the brother of Kimberly Gibson (Michael), Tina Boudreaux-Bass (Terry), Joya Delatte, Johnnie Delatte Jr. (Kris), and the late Jamie Delatte. The godfather to Brandi Warino and Ron Boudreaux. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ennis and Shirly Marcel, his stepfather Andrew Boudreaux, and his unborn son. He was loved by everyone that knew him and will be sorely missed by all.
A Memorial Service in Scott's honor will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 12 - 3 p.m., at the Bridge City Fire Station located at 2200 Bridge City Avenue, Westwego, LA 70094.
Interment will be private.
