S.T. Smith

S. T. Smith departed this life peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2021, at the Veterans Hospital in New Orleans, La.  He was 84 years old and was born in Tylertown, MS., and a resident of Terrytown, LA, for many years.  He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Estell-Smith, his children, Tina L. Estell Smith and Sean T. Smith, and his grandchild, Minesha S. Estell. 

S.T. is preceded in death by his parents, the late Jake Smith and Dessie Buckley Smith; his in-laws, Henry Lewis and Savannah Webb Estell; his siblings, Jessie Smith and Mitchell Smith; his in-laws, Freddie Estell and George Estell.  S.T. proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a retired Chief Petty Officer. 

Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Prudential Gardner Realtors, H&R Block, and K&B, are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday April 5, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church located at 535 Deerfield Road, Terrytown, LA., at 11 a.m.  The limited visitation will begin at 10 a.m.  Father Michael and Deacon Bill officiating and interment will follow at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive in Slidell, LA, where he will be laid to rest with Military Honors.  

Due to COVID – 19, EVERYONE in attendance MUST wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing guidelines.
