Ruth Corrine Jones Williams departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at her daughters home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. She was 85 years old and a native of New Orleans LA. and a lifelong resident of Marrero LA. Daughter of the late Samuel Jones Sr. and Ethel Richard Jones. Beloved mother of Cebrina Aroh, Wanna Williams, Athelgra Williams, Toni Edwards (Gerald) and the late Delaree Williams. Cherished grandmother of Dante Vancourt (Fallon), Gerald Edwards Jr.(Courtney), Trea Edwards, Malik Edwards, Sterling Williams, Mije Williams and Kaya Williams. Great grandmother of Kayden and Nori Edwards. Sister of Clifton Jones Sr. (Jackie), Vernell Jones Sr., Ronald Jones Sr.(Sandra) and the late Ruby Cuillier, Samuel, Ernest, Ervin and Gerald Jones. Sister in law of Barbara Jones, Delores Jones, Leborah Jones and the late Jeanette Jones and Joseph Cuillier Sr. Mrs. Williams is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and devoted friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Second Zion Baptist Church 6520 Second Zion St. Marrero LA. 70072. The visitation will begin at 9Am followed by a 10AM service. Bishop J. Nelson Brown will officiate and interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale LA.
