Ruby Lee Tolbert Marcell

RUBY LEE TOLBERT MARCELL, departed this life on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, at Ochsner Baptist Hospital in New Orleans LA. She was 76 years old and was a native of Magnolia Mississippi and a longtime resident of New Orleans.

Daughter of the late J.C. and Rosie Mae Allen Tolbert.  Wife of the late Willie Brown.  Devoted mother of Zelda (Jeff) Sanders, Cynthia (Anthony) Sims, Janice (Tolbert) Morris, Richard Thompson and the late Richard and Ruben Marcell.  Stepmother of Melina Brown.  Mrs. Marcell is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.   She was predeceased by 3 sisters and 5 brothers.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday April 14, 2022, at Guiding Light Missionary Baptist Church located at 2012 Washington Ave. New Orleans LA.  70113. The visitation will begin at 9A.M. followed by a 10A.M. service.  Dr. G.R. Washington Jr. will officiate, and interment will follow in Pleasant Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Magnolia Mississippi.

Facemask are still required for all attendees.
