Rosemary Turner

Rosemary ‘Miss Rose’ ‘MaMa Rose’ ‘Aunt Rosie’ Turner departed this life on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her home in Homeplace, LA. She was 86 years old.

Beloved daughter of the late Edward Pat Turner Sr. and Mary Parker Turner. Loving and devoted mother of Herbert (Carol) Turner, James, Erna (Victor Sr.), Anthony (Paula), Stephanie (Melvin Jr.) and Donald (Yolanda) Riley and Linda (late Vernon) Williamson. Sister of the late Eva Smith, Aline Jackson, Emelda, Edward Jr., Felix, Theodore Sr. and Calvin Turner. Deceased also survived by 33 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, Pastor, officers and members of Greater Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches of Plaquemines Parish are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Greater Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church 27954 Highway 23 Port Sulphur, LA 70083. Pastor Allen Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Memorial Park in Empire, LA.
