Roosevelt Sterling Jr.

ROOSEVELT STERLING JR., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at his home in Westwego LA.  He was 84 years old.
 Son of the late Roosevelt Sterling Sr. and Rosie Sterling.  Roosevelt was previously married to Audrey Sterling and is currently married to Mary Willis Sterling.  

Father of Myron, Ron, Randall, Norvell and Jeanine Sterling, Erica, Shelia and Crystal Willis.  Godfather of Terracia Ard.  Brother of Bessie Wells, Lois Roach, Willie Mae, Daisy and Debra Sterling and the late Geraldine Mackey, Hunter and Jimmie Sterling. Brother-in-law of Johnny (Tamyka), Barry (LaShonda), Glen (Angie), Emeline and Michelle Willis.  He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

He was predeceased by his grandson Terry Williams and 2 brothers in law Daryl and Jonas Willis.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at New Zion Baptist Church located at 1131 Garden Road, Marrero La. 70072. The visitation will begin at 10A.M. followed by an 11A.M. service.  Pastor Austin Dennis the host pastor, and Rev. Aaron Frazier of Rock of Ages Baptist Church of Marrero, LA officiating.  Internment will be private.    

Due to COVID-19, everyone in attendance must wear a face mask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
