Roosevelt Brooks

Roosevelt Brooks peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, January 6, 2023, at his home in Harvey, Louisiana, he was 88 years old.

He was born in Hermanville, Mississippi to Willie Brooks and Mary M. Gary on November 3, 1934. Roosevelt was united in holy matrimony to Naomi Patterson
on September 27, 1953. He was a resident of Liberty, Mississippi for 11 years and Harvey, Louisiana for the past 57 years.

As a resident of Harvey, Roosevelt created several small businesses before settling into his true profession, owner of an independent trucking company. Through his company, he developed memorable moments and everlasting friendships with members of the Westbank community.

He was predeceased by his lovely wife, Naomi Brooks, his son, Raymond Brooks and his parents, Willie Brooks, and Mary M. Gary.
He is survived by his children: Glennis Brooks, Carolyn Eurystthee, Rose Brooks, Tinny Brooks, Connie (Steven)Poston and Shantell Brooks Greene. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great - great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Robinson Family Funeral Home 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse, Louisiana 70037. The visitation will begin at 8 a.m., and the service will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Hood and Patterson Cemetery located at 3246 Patterson Road, Liberty, Mississippi.
