Roman George Barthelomew

Roman George Bartholomew Sr., “Chubby”, was called home to glory on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his home in Diamond, LA., surrounded by his loving family. He was 65 years old and a lifelong resident of Diamond, LA. Son of the late John and Irene Barthelemy. He lived his life to the fullest, he had such a big heart and helped anyone in need. He worked for Newman Crane and Waste Pro as a Crane Operator. He also worked on vehicles in his spare time and more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Lifelong partner to the late Jamie Fernandez. Father of Evangeline Bazile, Roman Jr. (Leo), Vincent Sr., Victor Barthelemy, Anjelica and Brittany Williams, and Clark Riley.
Grandfather of Whitney, Patrice, Patrick Bazile, Romeo, Rowen and Jacob Bartholomew, Devin Powell Jr, Braydon and Braylei Johnson, Vincent Jr., Leeland, Brooklynn, and Braelynn Barthelemy. His siblings, Shirletta, Carla, Yolanda, Olen, and Francelia Barthelemy. Brother-in-law of Barbara Gaines, Bruce Phillips, Steward Phillips, Steven Barthelemy, and the late Sandra Lee Lafrance. Father-in-law of Shelby Barthelemy, Brandon Johnson, Patrick Bazile, Jennifer Bartholomew, and Jennifer Riley. Great grandfather of Levi Hindman. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Roman is also preceded in death by his grandson, Landon Barthelemy, and his brother John Barthelemy Jr.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 LA – 23, Port Sulphur, LA 70083. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Father Gerald Stapleton officiating, and interment will follow at Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond, LA.
