Robert Eugene Hayes, Sr

Robert E. Hayes Sr., 78 years of Westwego, LA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 25,2026 surrounded by his family. Robert was born on November 7th ,1947 to the late Linzy and Ehel Hayes. Robert married at a young age, his wife of 57 years Dorothy Lowe Hayes and together they were residents of Westwego, LA. From their union 2 children were born.

Robert retired from Ochsner Main Campus after 45 years of being a Patient Transporter. Robert is survived by his wife Dorothy, children Christal (Shidana) Hayes and Robert Hayes Jr. Bonus daughter Antoinette Hawkins and godmother Olivia Keller. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren,14 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday February 20, 2026, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Robinson Family Funeral Home, 9611 LA - 23, Belle Chasse LA, 70037. Graveside service will follow on Saturday February 21, 2026, at Restlawn Cemetery 3540 US - 90, Avondale, LA. 70094., from 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m.
