On Saturday, November 6, 2021, God gracefully open his arms and welcomed Patricia “Trisha” Singleton to her heavenly home. Patricia was born on January 5, 1969, to the late Emelda Singleton Bowie and Roosevelt Bowie where she received the value of how to be a God-fearing woman. She was educated in Jefferson Parish School System. She is a graduate of West Jefferson High School and later attended Delgado Community College for nursing. During her studies she received an outstanding contribution award from Jo Ellen Smith Memorial and Edward Hebert Hospitals as a CNA.
During her life journey, she was blessed to have two sons Joseph and Donte Singleton, she had a special relationship with her grandchildren and always kept beautiful smile and tremendous love for everyone.
In her homegoing she leaves to cherish her loving memories to her loving sons, Donte Lamar, and Joseph Bernard Singleton. Her aunts, second Mother Yvette Singleton Mattox (Kavin), Yvonne Jenkins- Columbia, South Carolina, and Julia Robinson. Her sisters, Lisa Brown Smith of Houston, Texas, Otia Bowie of Baton Rouge, LA and Charles Singleton of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Her uncle, Cornelius Singleton Jr. (Wanda).
Patricia is preceded in death by her mother Emelda Bowie, father Roosevelt Bowie, her grandparents Lois and Cornelius Singleton Sr., Her cousins/brothers Andre Paul Meyers Jr. and Derrick Bernard Singleton.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life services on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at St. Paul Baptist Church located at 1509 Monroe Street Gretna, LA 70053. The visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with the service following at 11 a.m. Pastor Orin D. Grant officiating. Interment will be private.
