Patricia Jackson Obituary

On February 16th, 1946, the late James W. Jackson Sr. and Rosemary Ferdinand Jackson gave birth to their youngest child and only daughter, Patricia Jackson. Patricia "Patsy" Jackson lived her life giving honor and devotion to God. She found her place at His side on the morning of February 3rd, 2023.
Patricia was the loving and devoted wife of the late Eddie Jackson. The two of them enjoyed a remarkable 49 years together on this Earth until his passing. She was the loving mother of 3 daughters; Dominey, Desiree, and Deviney.
Patricia used her creative nature to help others feel and look beautiful whenever possible. At the age of 15, she would make spectacular garments for herself and others. She started her own business called The Pink Pheasant Boutique, and contributed her creative designs to local organizations, schools, and social aid and pleasure clubs (NOMTOC, ZULU, etc). From intricately personalized wedding dresses to boisterous costumes, and headpieces perfect for Mardi Gras season, Patricia proudly offered it all. Anyone who donned a piece fashioned by her was sure to feel the affection she gave to each stitch, bead, and sequin.
Patricia founded Beyond the Veil Women's Ministry, a nonprofit whose mission was to raise awareness of domestic violence and lesser noticed crimes against women. She and her husband were able to purchase her childhood home, in Marrero, LA, where Patricia applied that same undying affection to providing a space for local victims of domestic violence to be protected and nurtured. Beyond the Veil was one of Patricia's proudest achievements.
Patricia Jackson was modest, loyal, and soulful. She was a woman who would stand wholeheartedly behind whatever she did, felt, or said. Anyone who's shared in her presence would agree that Patricia had a confident and powerful personality. Patricia was a devoted follower of the Lord and would offer prayer for anyone.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; James and Rose Mary Jackson, Sr.; her father and mother in laws, Gus and Mazie Jackson; her brothers: James Jr.(Joycelyn) and Lionel Jackson Sr., and her daughter Dominey Miller. Patricia is survived by her beloved daughters; Desiree Riggins (Adolph Sr.) and Deviney Jackson; her grandchildren: Adolph Riggins Jr., Patricia Riggins, Jeffery Miller, Justice Miller, and Devin Jackson; sister-in-laws Faye Jackson and Lydia Jackson; and brother-in-laws: Charles Jackson (Robertine), Gus Jackson Jr. (Blanche), and Ralph Jackson (David); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
