Norbert Housey

Norbert Housey, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA, departed this life on Wednesday October 20th, 2021. He was an alumnus of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School, where he enjoyed playing football and basketball. 

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Charmaine Housey and Norbert Matthews. His siblings, Liryc Housey (Ariane), Norman Lee and Norbrell Arnolie. His devoted friend, LaBrena Williams and his sister in Christ, Robin Taylor. He is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins’ other relatives and devoted friends.

Norbert is predeceased by his grandparents Thelma & George Housey Sr, Celestine & John Matthews, Lee Washington, George Housey Jr, and Michael Matthews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services on Saturday, November 6th, 2021, at Gentilly Baptist Church located at 5141 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., and the service will begin at 10 a.m. Pastor Willie Green officiating and entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.

Due to COVID – 19, EVERYONE in attendance MUST wear a facemask or other proper facial covering.
