Morris James Miles

MORRIS “MOE” JAMES MILES, was called home on Friday, March 18, 2022 at West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero LA.  He was 58 years old. Moe grew up in Algiers LA. and attended L.B. Landry High School.

Beloved son of Geraldine and Augustus Miles Sr.  Husband of the late Sharnelle Stovall Miles. Devoted father of Shameska and Shana (Robinique) Miles, Kimberly Martin, Ebony Sumling, Morris Martin, Brent Thomas, Brandon Thomas (Denise), Byron Thomas, Quenton Johnson and the late Morris Stovall.  Brother of Augustus Miles Jr. (Jean), Anthony Morris (Denise), Jerry Miles and Gabrielle Jordan (Anderson).  Grandson of the late Elenora and Alex Bannister Sr.   Moe is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.  He was also predeceased by his longtime companion Ella Thomas.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service on Saturday March 26, 2022 at Ray Ave Baptist Church located at 4712 Ray Ave. New Orleans LA. 70126.

The visitation will begin at 9A.M. followed by a 10A.M. service.  Pastor Robert Brown host pastor. Pastor Malcolm Putman of New Genesis Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Avondale LA.
