Monica Theresa Monroe was born on June 26, 1966, in New Orleans, LA. She departed this life on October 23, 2022, at her home in Marrero, Louisiana, LA. She was 56 years old.

Beloved daughter of Emma Lee Gabriel Monroe and the late Charles James Monroe. Devoted mother of Trayvon Monroe and the late Jasmin Monroe. Sister of Donna Marie Blackmore. Grandmother of Lance Monroe. Niece of Bernadine Sneed (Willie), Bernadette McAllister (Don), Clarence Gabriel (Bernadette) and Edna Anderson. Aunt of Tabitha Delbasty, Keyana Gullage, Brandi Blackmore, Jeffery Blackmore Jr. and Jeremy Monroe. Monica is also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, November 11, 2022 at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church located at 455 Ames Blvd, Marrero, Louisiana. 70072. The visitation will begin at 8:30A.M. followed by a 10A.M. Mass. Father Sidney Speaks will officiate and interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery 3540 US-90, Avondale LA.
Following the interment, the repast will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.
