Michael Anthony Videau

Michael Anthony Videau was born on September 27th, 1950 in New Orleans LA. To Arthur Felton Videau Sr. and Ethel Mae Green Videau. He was called into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday July 8th, 2025. Michael attended Frederick Douglas Elementary School in Gretna LA. After graduating from there he attended Fremont High School in Oakland California where he completed his high school education. After returning to his home state of Louisiana, he enlisted in the United States Air force. Michael also attended Delgado Community College where he studied electronics. He later worked for Sears where he repaired appliances. Michael was an entrepreneur at heart. He was given the opportunity to open and manage a restaurant on the corner of 22nd and Huey P. Long Ave. in Gretna, better known as "Jonestown" by his uncle Theodore (Teddy) Videau. Michael also had a seasonal turkey frying business before frying turkeys ever became popular. He was known as "Turkey Fry" because his recipe was so delicious and his turkeys were always tender and juicy. Being the adventurer that he was he even tried his hand at Over The Road Trucking (OTR)/ Cal Ark International which was located in Arkansas. Michael was a member of the Second Pleasant Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Alex Cotton. He served faithfully as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and church van driver where enjoyed transporting the church members to and from church every Sunday morning. After Second Pleasant Zion's name was changed to Saving Grace Church, Michael remained a member there under the leadership of Rev. Leland Smith Sr.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Felton Videau Sr. on August 1st, 2021. Left to cherishes his memories is his son and daughter-in-law Demar (Mikey) Videau Sr. and Yvette Videau, his grandchildren; Devynne and Daniel and his loving mother Ethel Mae Pandy and her husband Truman Pandy, his siblings; Arthur Felton Videau Jr., Brian Keith Videau Sr., Mystur Douglas Videau, Yvette Antionette Carr, Crystal Vanessa Wright, and Dy'Annika Videau Lunkins, his aunt and uncle Thoedore and Ernestine Videau, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service on Saturday July 19, 2025 at the New Testament Baptist Bible Center located at 1500 Pailet Ave., Harvey LA. 70058 beginning at 1PM. Pastor Jerry Davis Jr will officiate.
