MICHAEL CLAUDELL BROWN JR., was born on February 26, 2005, to Michael Claudell Brown Sr., and Shakel Kiera Walker Sylve. Michael accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at nine years old and was baptized at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Mandrel R. Pansy Sr.
Michael was educated in the Plaquemines Parish school system where he enjoyed playing football and baseball. He was a 2023 graduate of South Plaquemines High School where he leaves fond memories to his classmates and peers.
Michael enjoyed playing his game, dancing, singing, telling jokes and always loving on his mother. Michael will always be remembered for his energetic personality, his kindness towards others and his many dance offs with his sister.
Michael enlisted in the United States Navy on November 14, 2023, completing his basic training in Great Lakes, IL, and was stationed on the USS Lassen in Mayport, Fl.
On Monday November 17, 2025, at the tender age of 20, GOD gave Michael his final orders that his marching time here on earth was complete and he’ll be relocating to his new home.
Michael was preceded in death by his great grandparents Thad and Colia White, Jesse and Emma Brown Sr. Jerome and Catherine Smith Sr. His grandparents Michael Hampton and Arthemese Brumfield.
Michael leaves to cherish his life and memories to his parents Shakel and Dwaine Sylve Jr., His father Michael C. Brown Sr, his siblings Mahki’yah and Mikahla Brown, Michael George and Hunter Azema; His grandparents Norden and Cathy Mayfield Jr., Terry Washington, Anthony and Esande Henry Sr., His great grandparents Clarence and Connie Anderson, Mary Branch and Lonnie and Joyce Sylve.
Uncles Anthony Henry Jr., and Tyrone Smith. Aunts Markeisha Bray, Dorothy Smith, Rynika Brumfield, Joni Parker, Doree Henry and Shelley (Sidney) Bush. Special friend Titeyon Mills and a host of great uncles, aunts, cousins, coworkers and other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church located at 27796 LA-23, Port Sulphur LA. 70083. The visitation will begin at 9AM followed by an 11AM service. Pastor Mandrell Pansy Sr. will officiate. Full Military Honors will be rendered immediately following the service. Interment will take place in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery located at 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell LA., 70460 on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 9 a.m.
