Mervin Joseph Magee

Mervin "Perm Glizzy" Joseph Magee departed this life on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the age of 25. He was a native Port Sulphur and a resident of Marrero. He was the son of Eric and Jerilynn M. Rogers (Eric) and Mervin Joseph Barthelemy. He was the brother of Sheliah Magee, Erice Rogers, Aniya Barthelemy, Madysen Barthelemy, D'Vyne Barthelemy, Montae Barthelemy, Ja'mia Freeman, Kingston Brock, A'miracle Barthelemy, London Barthelemy and Semaj Buckley. He was the grandson of Jerry Charles, Jr and Olibra Ragas Magee, Alicia Riley and Mervin Riley Jr. He was the nephew of Mariah Magee, Chanita Rogers, Angela Barthelemy, Herschel Barthelemy, Ron-Kal Riley, Tamerrol Johnson and Benett Roy. He was a nephew figure to Amanda Turner and Lynnae Williams. Mervin was the Godson of Coreka Riley and James Phillips Sr. He was the Godfather of Marley Magee. Mervin was the beloved brother-friend of Justin "Poppa" Phillips III. He was the devoted and loyal friend of Frankie Morrison, Kendrick Vallee, Aaron Williams, Amond Hardin, Blake Billiot, Larry Richardson, LaQuan Richardson and Jaquam Turner. He was loved by many near and far. Mervin was an upcoming inspiring rapper & entrepreneur. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts & uncles as well as his great grandmother.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life service which will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Cross Community Church located at 3233 Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072. Pastor Troy Gause and Pastor Tilesha Warren will be officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, La.
