Melvin Louis Britton Sr.

Melvin Louis Britton Sr., departed this life on Monday, December 14, 2020.  He was 70 years old and was born on April 1, 1950, in Ironton, LA.  He is the son of the late Samuel Britton Sr., and Bertha Gibson Britton.  

He is the beloved father of Melvin Louis Britton Jr., Shanta’ Britton Henry (Torry Sr.), and Travis Damon Britton.  He is also survived 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his sister Bernice Black, and his brother Oliver Britton.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Melvin is predeceased by 13 siblings, along with his parents, Samuel Britton Sr., and Bertha Gibson Britton.    

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the homegoing celebration on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 LA – 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037, at 1p.m.  The limited visitation will begin at 12 noon.  Pastor Nadal Cosse’ of St. Joseph Baptist Church of Phoenix, LA., officiating. Entombment will follow at Ironton Cemetery, in Ironton, LA.  

Due to COVID – 19, EVERYONE in attendance MUST wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
