Mary Lanette (McTear) Gilmore

Mary Lanette McTear Gilmore was born December 11, 1948, to the late Jessie Robinson McTear and Rev Joseph McTear Sr. of Waterproof LA.  She entered into eternal rest on Monday June 09, 2025 at the age of 76.  She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Yolondis Gilmore and son, Brandon Gilmore of New Orleans, 2 grandchildren Brandon and Mya Alexander, 1 sister Kathy McTear, 3 brothers Glen McTear, Rev Joseph McTear Junior and Kenny McTear and a host of relative and friends.   
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the Celebration of Life Service on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Olive Branch Baptist Church, located at 1134 Odeon Ave., New Orleans, LA 70114.  The visitation will begin at 10 a.m., and the service will follow 11 a.m., Pastor Reginald Nicholas Sr., officiating and entombment will follow at Lakelawn Cemetery.
