Lydia Felix Obituary

Lydia Ann Felix departed this life and entered eternal rest on Friday, September 26,2025, at the age of 64 at her home in Harvey, LA. She was born December 3,1960, to her parents Jessie Mae and Isaac Felix.

Lydia graduated from L. B. Landry in 1978 and continued her education at the University of New Orleans and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Lydia was a faithful member at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church where she worked with the Helping Hands Ministries and participated with different children ministries. Her only place of employment was Taco Bell where she worked for 42 years. She was involved with the Westside Carnival Club for more than twenty years riding in the parades during Mardi Gras time. She also was a New Orleans Saints season ticket holder for nineteen years.

The devoted mother of Brittany and Marquis Felix. Loving and Passionate grandmother of Braylon and Brylee Mickey. Sister of Ivory, Tholover, Isaac, Terry, Christopher (Donna Lynn), Lorraine Elmore and Verenia Roussell (Calvin).

Relatives and friends of the family, members of Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, All Saints Catholic Church, Philadelphia Ministries, Evening Star Baptist Church, United States Postal Service, L.B. Landry Class of 1978, L.B. Landry alumni, Taco Bell, and Natchez Steamboat are invited to a mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 455 Ames Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072 at 10AM. Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Sidney O. Speaks III. Visitation 8AM-9:45AM. Tribute starts at 8:45AM. This service will be live streamed on St. Joseph the Worker website: (www.Stjworker.church), Facebook (Saint Joseph the Worker Church-Marrero), and YouTube (St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Marrero).

Interment at Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, 3540 US-90 W Avondale, LA.
