Lula Mae Fiffer Edwards passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at her home in Harvey, LA. She was 80 years young. Lula was born on June 1,1942, in lnverness, Mississippi. She was a resident of New Orleans.
Lula was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie and Maude Fiffer from lnverness, Mississippi. Sis Edwards was preceded in death by her two daughters Debra Edwards and Vanessa Edwards, sisters Aniece Smith and Janie B Tucker, granddaughter Precious Phenice Edwards and Son-ln-Law Fredrick Leonard Sr. Godparents Rev & Mrs. Gilyard, godbrother Rev. Eddie Branch, god sister Eula Gilyard and OIa Bailey, Sis Edwards leaves to cherish her memories the father of her children Sylvester Edwards Sr (Dorothy) five children son Sylvester Edwards Jr (Gail), daughter Luvone Edwards Perry (Bernard Sr), son Perry B Edwards (Paulette), son Billy J Edwards (Deongelas), daughter Miranda Edwards Leonard (Curtis), godchild Albert Perry Jr (Cartrice) god sister Thelma McCrainey (Manuel), best friend Geraldine Miles (Momma Jeri), Sis Edwards also leave behind 14 Grand Children Contrina Edwards, Bernard Perry Jr, Lashanda Salaam, Kimberley Perry, Perry Jones, Roslyn Edwards, Paul Edwards, Billy Edwards Jr, Michael Edwards, Chentee Lomax, Tatanisha Jackson, Terrance Leonard, Fredrick Leonard Jr, Andre Leonard, 34 Great Grandchildren Jordan Thompson, lndia Devlin, Tariq Salaam, Saniyah Salaam, Asashia Perry, Jayce Perry, Darius Wells, Bernard Perry, McKenzie Richardson, Kaylee Perry, Quincy Jackson, Josiah Jackson, Cree Jones, Silas Jones, Tajay Edwards, Adrian Edwards, Adrianna Edwards, T'maj Gregoire , Z'yaria Edwards, Taj’alaya Edwards, Ahmaj Edwards, Zarion Dior, Tr'Ron Edwards, Talaya Edwards, Aniya Jackson, Asia Jackson, Gage Jackson, Kody Dixon, Andre Leonard Jr, Andrea Leonard, 7 Great Great Grand Children Eva'Neigh Freeman, Eedyn Freeman, Prodigy Perry, Mabel Wells, Olivia Richardson, Kaylee Edwards, Zaleah Dior, and-a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services which will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at New Genesis Baptist Church located at 3316 Second Street, New Orleans, LA 70125. The visitation will begin at 8 a.m., and the service will begin at 9 a.m. Pastor Malcolm Putman officiating, and interment will follow at Green Street Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
