Louise Jenkins Johnson was born on July 12, 1947 and transitioned into eternal rest on Monday August 25, 2025 at the age of 78. She was a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans LA.
Daughter of the late Noble and Evelina Barnes Jenkins. Wife of the late Jimmie Lee Johnson. Mother of the late James Lee Johnson III. Grandmother of LaKeisha Crosby, Jamesha Harang and James Walker. Great grandmother of Layla Keyes, Sterling Keyes III, Lilyana Keyes and Byron Kelly Jr. Bonus grandmother of Tyece and Te'Saun Walker. Sister of Mae Helen Lewis and the late Florence Pellerin, Mary Jenkins, Irma Jenkins, Josephine Singleton, Ethel Manuel, Thelma Lanella Jenkins Manning, Johnny Jenkins, Frank Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, Andrew Jenkins and Arthur Jenkins. Sister in law of Charlene Johnson and Ollie Johnson. Mrs Johnson is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service of Saturday September 13, 2025 at Great St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church located at 5600 Read Blvd., New Orleans LA. 70127. The visitation will begin at 10:30AM followed by an 11AM service. Pastor Debra B. Morton will officiate and interment will follow in Holt Cemetery New Orleans LA.
