Louis 'Nick' Taylor transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, March 31, 2023, at Riverbend Nursing Home in Jesuit Bend LA. He was 96 years old and a native of Ostrica La. and a lifelong resident of Boothville, LA.
Beloved son of the late Saxon Taylor Sr. and the late Ellen Jones Taylor. He was preceded in death by all of his siblings and their spouses, Saxon and Madeline Taylor Jr., Antoine and Albertine Taylor, Clarence and Mary Taylor Sr., Theresa and Louis Mackey, Margarite and Paul Rogers Sr., Carolyn and Eugene Sapp and Antionette and Milton Coleman Sr. Left to cherish his precious memories is his niece and caregiver Juanita Taylor Hamilton (Robert) as well as several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends whom he loved dearly. He was also the Godfather of Anthony Mackey Jr., Murve Sapp and the late Dale Jones.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church located at 39752 LA-23, Boothville LA. 70038. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m., service. Dr. Theodore Turner Jr. will officiate, and entombment will follow in Tropical Bend Cemetery in Empire LA.
The family will also receive guest for a visitation on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Robinson Family Funeral Home, 9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m., A "reflection service" will begin at 7 p.m., until 8 p.m.
