Lloyd Christopher "Doddy" Sylve

It is with great sorrow and heartache
that we announce the passing of Lloyd Christopher "Doddy" Sylve on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at his home in Buras LA. He was 75 years old. Doddy was born on August 17, 1958 in New Orleans LA. to Luma and Jeanette Sylve. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, he served his country proudly with dignity and respect during the Vietnam War. Doddy was the proud father of Dionne, Nina, Lloyd Jr. and Christopher Sylve. Grandfather of Danica, Darian, Lil Timmy, Alaina, Caiden, Kaylan and Kylee. Great grandfather of Cody, Chaz, Bentley, Cole, Chance, Carter and Dasian. Brother of Sandra and Edmond Sylve.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Luma and Jeanette Sylve, and his siblings; Stella and Sherman.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial mass on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 LA-23, Port Sulphur LA. 70083 at 11AM. Prayer and rosary service will be held between 9AM and 10:45AM. Father Lawrence will officiate. Inurnment with military honors will follow the mass in Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond LA.
