Lloyd Earl Howard

Lloyd Earl Howard was born on August 20, 1960 to the late Earl and Shirley Steptore-Howard. He peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2025, at University Medical Center in New Orleans.

Lloyd was a graduate of O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans. Several years after high school, he moved to New Jersey where he worked as an insurance agent with companies like Lockheed Martin, NJ Insurance, and Genesis Health. Eventually he found his professional calling with Aetna in Philadelphia.

Beyond his professional life, Lloyd found happiness in the presence of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to Jazz music. Fishing was another great passion of his. He found peace in the still water, the patience of the catch, and the camaraderie of those who shared in his favorite pastime.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents:

Earl Howard, Sr. and Shirley Steptore - Howard and one brother, Earl Howard, Jr.

Lloyd's memories will forever be cherished by two sisters: Linda (David) Howard- White, Sheila Howard- LaFrance; two brothers:

Christopher (Alefia) Howard, and Terrence (Trina) Howard; four children: Keshaun (Johnny) Howard- Nichols, Sheila A. Howard, Dawan Alexander, and Justin Howard: Sixteen grandchildren: LeMar Martin, Jr., Cyris Martin, Annastasia Martin, Te'Von Howard, Sr., Honey Howard, Kia Berry, Alicia Berry, Kevanae Howard, Keira Nero, Kevin Nero, Jr., Kelsie Howard, Skyler Nero, Shawna Rice, Curtis Howard, Rashad Howard, and Viante' Howard;

Eight great grandchildren: Aiden Wilson, TaMari Martin, Te 'Von Howard, Jr., Te'Kari Howard, Braden Connell, Kaiden Connell, Grayson Connell, Wynter Connell, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in his honor on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Cut Off Recreation Center located at 6600 Belgrade Street, New Orleans, LA 70131. Services will begin at 1:00 p.m.
