Linda Reith Ermert, a beloved mother, grandmother and cherished friend, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at West Jefferson Medical Center.
She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Gary J. Ermert (who she spoiled rotten), along with her mother Audrey Price (Ralph), and her father Joseph Reith Jr. She will be forever missed by her loving brother Tony Reith (Sandra) and his children Tony and Joseph (Dylan). She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Wendy Thompson and Cary Matherne (Ron Matherne deceased); her former son in law and co-chef George Thompson; her granddaughters Jena and Graci Thompson and Halee Matherne. Linda has a special gift for making her house a home for all who entered, and she never let anyone leave hungry. Though she could be stubborn and sassy, she had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh and knew how to have fun. Above all, she understood what truly mattered, family, love and the joy of being together. Her warmth, kindness and zest for life touched everyone who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 1- 4PM at 333 F. Edward Herbert Blvd, Belle Chasse LA. 70037. (Plaquemines Parish Multi- Purpose Building). The family will host a potluck - style gathering and invites everyone to bring a small dish or drink to share.
Please RSVP with Jenna Thompson by November 6, 2025, if you are attending and what you plan to bring.
Linda's family warmly invites all who loved her to join in remembering her beautiful spirit, sharing stories, laughter and the love she so freely gave throughout her life.
