Leo "PAPAY" John Williams

LEO JOHN “PAPAY” WILLIAMS, departed this life peacefully on Monday August 23, 2021, at his home in Davant La.  He was 67 years old and was born in Port Sulphur LA. to the late Lawrence and Agnes Williams.  Beloved husband of Brenda Williams.  Father of Ratonia Bardwell, Ratrina Bean, Rakiera Powell, Sarah Ragas and Angelica Fernandez.  Father-in-law of Kenneth Bardwell, Michael Bean and Donald Dyer.  Grandfather of Timothy Williams, Kenneth Bardwell Jr., Jesse Bardwell, Brentaja Bardwell, Shane Bardwell, Gerald Barthelemy, Tyrease Barthelemy, Amary Bean, Michael Bean Jr., Eztn Bean, D’Shaun Williams, Aunjelle Powell, Daunielle Powell, Daniel Powell Jr., De’Vera Powell, Atilla Powell and Donald Dyer Jr.  Great grandfather of Aubree’ Barthelemy, Elijah Whiteside and Jonas Williams.  Brother of Judith Williams.  Nephew of Bertrain Ragas.  Leo is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, devoted friends and his beloved dog Lil Man.

Leo will forever remain in the hearths and thoughts of all those who loved him, especially his wife Brenda. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday September 18, 2021, at Agape Fellowship located at 16281 Ventura Lane, Davant LA.   The viewing will begin at 9A.M. followed by an 11A.m. service. Pastor Robert G. Little will officiate, and entombment will follow in Griffin Cemetery in Davant LA.

Due to COVID-19, everyone in attendance must wear a facemask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
