LARRY THOMAS ANCAR, departed this life on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at his home in Jesuit Bend La. He was 71 years old. He was born on March 7, 1949 to Winnie and Mazie Ancar in Myrtle Grove La. He graduated from Port Sulphur High School in 1968 and entered the United States Air force. He was employed by AMAX Nickel Refinery for over 26 years. Larry married Celeste Domingue in 1975 and lived in Marrero La. for 26 years before returning home to Plaquemines Parish. He held various jobs after AMAX including employment at Boomtown Casino. Larry was an avid trawler, fisherman and hunter. He was a loving and caring husband and father.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife Celeste, his two children, Tori and Jonathan; a granddaughter Milani; his father, Winnie Ancar Sr. and his siblings Winnie Jr.(Lisa), Jennifer, Marcia(Johnny) and Sonya. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 8968 LA-23, Belle Chasse LA. 70037 at 11A.M. The public visitation will begin at 9A.M. Father Kyle Dave will celebrate the Mass and entombment will follow in Barthelemy Cemetery in Diamond LA.
Due to COVID-19, EVERYONE in attendance must wear a face mask or other proper facial covering and practice social distancing.
