Kenneth Jackson "Kenny Tongue"

Kenneth (Kenny Tongue) Jackson peacefully transitioned to his eternal home on Friday November 12, 2021, at Ochsner Medical Center Gretna, LA at the age of 61. He was a native and a resident of Westwego, LA. He was born to the union of the late Phillip Jr. and Shirley Jackson. He was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was educated in the Jefferson Parish Public School system where he enjoyed leading the band as drum major in his younger years. He was a dedicated construction working in the surrounding New Orleans area. Kenneth was a sharp dresser who loved to dance and eat.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father and mother, Phillip Jr. and Shirley Jackson, his grandparents Phillip Jackson Sr., Alberta Jackson; and Ida Jackson; Gustave and Isabelle Fazande; brothers John Robinson Jr., Bobby Glen and Donald Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving daughter Wyleea Wiley (Quincy) Wilson, grandsons Bobby Davis III, Brycson Davis and Quincy Wilson Jr. A great granddaughter Layani Davis. Sisters Ann (Wayne) Briggs, Veronica Jackson (Clyde Lemieux), Willette (Joe) Boudion and Terri Wright. Brothers Kim Robinson, Reginald, Keith, and Ronald Jackson. Uncle Charles Jackson, Aunts Ophelia Smith, and Lois Collins. Devoted companion Lorenza Jarrow and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also Pastor, officers and member of True Love Ministries, True Vine Baptist Church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at True Hope Church International, 1228 Cohen Street Marrero, LA 70072 on Saturday November 20, 2021, at 12:00 p.m., the visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Brian Walker Sr., of Touch Of Love Ministries officiating. Interment will be private.
