Kenneth Elliott Obituary

Kenneth Elliott Sr., affectionately known as "Bill," was born on February 1, 1962, in Marrero, Louisiana, to Sam Elliott Sr. and Ella B. Elliott. Kenneth passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and service.

A man of deep faith, Kenneth accepted Christ at an early age. He was educated in the Jefferson Parish Public School System and went on to have a fulfilling career, working with Michael Hebert Furniture and Jefferson Door Company for many years. Kenneth's love for auto mechanics was a lifelong passion, and he became known as a "Jack-of-all-trades," always willing to help friends and family with their mechanical needs.

In 2001, Kenneth married Shannon G. Elliott, and together they raised two children: Kenneth "Bestfriend" Elliott Jr. and Ka'Lyn "Babydoll" Gilbert-Wilson. Kenneth was a proud father and grandfather, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy, and he spoke of them with immense pride. Kenneth's generosity, reliability, and loyalty to his family and friends were unparalleled. He was a man who could always be counted on, no matter the need. His kindness and warm spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Ella Elliott; siblings, Lupece Kelly, Julia Martin, Theresa Oliver, Lessie "Daisy" Heisser, William "Bull" Cole, Bonnette "Feet" Cole Sr., and Sam Elliott Jr.; and his in-laws, Joseph E. and Dorothy P. Gilbert.

Forever cherishing Kenneth's memories are his loving wife, Shannon Gilbert Elliott; children, Kenneth Elliott Jr. (Terrikia) and Ka'Lyn Gilbert Wilson (Michael Jr.); grandchildren, Kiley Elliott, Kenneth Elliott III, Ah'Kia Oliver, and Ah'Keem McNeil; siblings, JB Cole of Waterproof, LA, Nellie Carter (Nelson Sr.), Addie Elliott, Barbara Tardieff (Walter Jr.) of Decatur, GA, and Bessie Thomas (Herman); sister-in-laws, Shandrell (Thaddeus) Paul, Shelisa "Fat" Gilbert, Brianna Duplessis - Gilbert; his goddaughters, Rolynn Davis and Aleysha Cole; devoted friend, Glendis "Pepper" McNeil and family (Mariah and Torey Holmes and Mai' Ceon Johnson); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
