Katharina Christel (Jurjevich) Smith

Katharina Christel Jurjevich departed this life on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, at 10:29 a.m., at her home in Marrero, LA.  She was 77 years old.  She was born in Fulda, Germany on December 21, 1945, she came to America in 1956, along with her mother, the late Margarethe Emma Richaredt.  She was a longtime resident of Plaquemines Parish.  Wife of the late Deputy Feltus John Smith Jr., granddaughter of the late Otto Richardt and Katharina Schneider Richardt, both of Fulda, Germany.  Loving mother of Sabrina Smith - Jack, and the late Christopher “Todd” Smith.  Stepmother of the late Feltus J (Peanut) Smith III, and the late Marvin David Smith.  Sister of Charmain Jurjevich and Leander Jurjevich (Lynn).  Grandmother of Chelsea Laren Eillis (Robert), Christopher Seth Smith, Emmit “Bubba” Jack III (Darion), Darius Michael Jack and Dante Alexander Jack.  Aunt of Chad Buras (Kelli), and Stephanie Buras (Chad), great aunt of Christopher M. Buras.  She is also survived by a host of other family members and devoted friends. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the celebration of life services on Monday, July 25th, 2022, at Robinson Family Funeral Home located at 9611 LA – 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037.  The visitation will begin at 10 a.m., and the service will begin at 11 a.m.  Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Good Harbor Cemetery in Buras, LA.

Due to COVID – 19, Everyone in attendance MUST wear a facemask.
