Joyce Marie Espadron Parker

Joyce "Dottie" Mary Espadron Parker, age 89 transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, May 23, 2025, while surrounded by her family at West Jefferson Hospital. "Dottie" was affectionately known for her great cooking, contagious smile and warm and prayerful heart. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose ever crossed her path.

Joyce was the beloved daughter of the late Florence and Hazel Encalade Espadron. She was the devoted spouse of Preston Parker III for 69 years. Nurturing mother of Mary Alice Ingraham; Preston (Donna) Parker IV; and Faith (Randolph Jr.) Duncan. Grandmother "Gram" of Ranada (Gerald) St. Ann; Ariesha (Nathaniel Sr.) Tyler; Channing (Ruddy) Alicea; LaTonya (Jared) Walker; Randy, Ryan, Fallon and Ron Duncan; Terrence Barthelemy and Tyron Parker. The great grandmother to fourteen, in which she shared a special bond with them all. Joyce was the cherished sister of Augustine "Putt" (late Claudell Sr.) Lumar; and the late Hazel "Tootsie" (late Lee) Haynes and Veronica "Vee" Simmons. The loving sister-in-law to Shirley (late Milton "Sam") Antoine; Lena Mae Ragas; and the late Louise "Mutsy" Hansel; and one brother-in-law Renard (Blanche) Parker.

Relatives and friends of the family are welcome to attend a mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Father Kyle Dave officiating and interment will follow at OLPH cemetery.
